Founded in 1998*, Providence Builders of the Triangle takes great pride in our commitment to working one-on-one with each client. In order to achieve this degree of complete customized service, we have chosen to build only a limited number of custom homes each year, preferring to focus on exclusive homes without sacrificing service to the client. We view our relationship with our clients as personal in nature. We carefully respect our client’s wishes, and aim to make the whole process as fun and exciting at the end as it is at the beginning. Our goal is “maximizing the joys while minimizing the frustrations” of building a home.

Principals Debbie Matthis and Susan Evans actively manage each project and use their collaborative ideas to produce attractive, efficient homes with structural integrity. As a full service builder and land developer, Providence Builders is able to build on your land or assist you in finding the perfect home site within one of their communities. We can assist you in selecting or designing just the right home plan and will be there to guide you through the selection of the finishing touches that make your home distinctive.

Debbie Matthis is a North Carolina native and 1983 NC State graduate with a degree in Civil Engineering with Construction Option. Debbie’s career has included involvement in residential and commercial construction in a variety of capacities. Having spent more than 20 years in the construction industry in the Triangle area, Debbie’s technical expertise and commitment to quality building is unsurpassed.

Susan Evans, also a North Carolina native, is a 1979 UNC-CH graduate with a degree in Business Administration and Accounting and became a CPA in 1985. For more than 10 years, she has worked exclusively in the residential construction industry and brings extensive business knowledge and a passion for home building to the Providence Builders team.
